Eyelet Dress collection – cute spring and summer dresses 2013

Many of the eyelet dress outfits that caught my eye recently have been white eyelet dresses paired with jean jackets. Others were bright colors or navy. I’ve managed to round up quite a few for you &  included both inspiration as well as links to a lot of dresses available for the Spring & Summer 2013 season. 🙂

The evasive eyelet dress but too cute not to mention:

Shireen-Eyelet-Dress-from-Calypso-Celle

Shireen Eyelet Dress from Calypso Celle: This dress just kept popping up on Pinterest. Repeatedly. In different colors. And it’s really cute. Too bad the seller, http://calypso-celle.com,  doesn’t seem to exist anymore. Link included just in case they somehow come back online (though I don’t think I would trust an ecommerce site that’s been done as long as this one has….)

But maybe you could find it in a boutique … it looks like they sell to small stores based on this photo. Really this is my favorite of the dresses which makes it really frustrating.

Anyway – hopefully this gives you some outfit ideas and also helps you find some of the available options for eyelet dresses this Summer 2013!

Some recent business outfits

I recently snagged some new Chico’s pants (3 pair) when they went on sale for a day so I’ve been dressing up a bit more than usual. I know it sounds odd but I’m a jeans fan.

Let’s start with the pink (I’m surprised pink worked on me),  khaki and gold sort of look:

Chico’s Cavalry Twill Palazzo Pant | Chico’s Silky Top
J Crew sweater (similar | similar) | Nine West shoes (similar)

A close up of the shoes:

And then last Tuesday I ended up wearing purple, black and grey. Photos aren’t as good as those above because I was taking them really quick and only snapped three:
Chico’s Sweater | top from TJMaxx | Ralph Lauren necklace from TJ Maxx | Chico’s Magique Flare Leg Trouser Pant | Cap Toe Ballet Flats are Payless Claire Scrunch Flat dexflex by Dexter
By the evening I was calling the ruffles on this shirt “tentacles.” I also didn’t realize until recently when I grouped them in the closet that I have no less than 5 shiny, silky, satiny shirts. I really don’t know how that happened.

Anyway – hopefully it will give you some ideas on pants based business attire that doesn’t involve a suit or dress. 🙂

So tell me, on the things I tried to find similar matches, did I do ok?

6pm.com = RSVP shoes for $6.95 & Nine West for $14.95

I’m not sure how long the sale is going to last but I do know the shoes seem to be going fast. I ended up buying 9 pairs of shoes for approximately $100 which meant I also got free shipping on nine pairs of shoes. Some of my purchase was more practical than exciting but you really can’t beat 9 pairs of shoes that normally run$60-$90 EACH for about $100 total.

Below is what I bought (click to go to their page on 6pm.com):

LBD …. nope LBHeels

Target – Merona Vilma Suede Peep-Toe Pumps in Black

target black heels

The photo on their website doesn’t do these shoes justice at all and my photo is only a little better. They are gorgeous, sexy and also simple enough to go with almost anything at the same time. I had been eying a pair of Nine West Bonfire shoes online and these look exactly the same. The only bad news is that there are only two colors in the Target brand (black and grey) and I kinda was hoping for black leather instead of suede.

On top of how awesome they look, they are comfortable for heels. At some point a few years ago I messed up my toe on my left foot and ever since even just trying on a pair heels typically causes a sharp and severe pain in that toe. This pair there’s no sharp pain. I think my weight is more on my heel than the ball of my foot (not completely but more than most) AND the sole of the shoe is rubberized so your not sliding ALL over the place. They are 3.5″ heels so they are pretty high and I can’t say these are walking shoes but I am REALLY happy with this purchase.
