What would you wear to an outdoor wedding?
Well my sister’s wedding was last weekend and I had four dresses to choose from. It was an outdoor wedding, casual but not too casual. I knew I wanted to wear a pair of wedge shoes so I wouldn’t sink into the ground in heels but it took me a little while to decide which dress made sense.
These were the dresses I chose from:
- Maybe too funky for a wedding.
- It wasn’t very spring looking even with the flowers. Seemed a little too formal for a daytime spring wedding.
- Looked great but didn’t photograph as well as the others. I think the flowers were too blobby and nondescript.
- Perfect fit again but a little more casual. If it had been a friend’s wedding instead of my sister’s I probably would have worn this because it’s the one I was most comfortable in.
So which one did I choose? I chose dress #1 because it fit really well, it was spring-like, and it was sunny the day of the wedding. I also had made sure my sister wasn’t going to tease me and tell me I had palm trees or feathers growing out of my midsection. 🙂
Which one would you have chosen?

Reuse, Restyle AND Educate
It’s spring cleaning time and what better way to get started than cleaning out your closets to make space for spring clothes as well as sort out spring clothes that you didn’t even wear last year.
Maybe it’s a great piece but a little too short on you. Maybe you even accidentally shrunk it so the size L is now a size S. Or maybe you’ve been exercising like an maniac and lost weight. Get these clothes out of your house – someone else might be able to fit into them!
I’m not going to deny that I don’t sell some of my better quality used clothes via ebay and consignment shops (the consignment shop I go to gives the unsold items to Goodwill) but this doesn’t make sense on some things and can be a huge investment of time.
When this is the case, I drop off my clothes (and other odd n’ ends) with Goodwill. It’s not just good for your closet, it’s also good for the economy because Goodwill trains people and helps them get better jobs.

Trend: Mix N’ Match Nails
Mix N’ Match, Two Toned or Color Blocked. I’m not sure yet what to call it. I’ve only seen it a little bit but enough that I’m going to go ahead and call it a trend (partially because I think it’s cute.) Basically the colors need to compliment in some way shape or form and not have too much pattern.
