So I found a website that suggested turning old t-shirts into underwear and I think it’s a great idea that I’m going to try at some point. I have a few t-shirts that could be put to good re-use this way but I’ll probably make a trip to the goodwill and see what else I can pick up for $1 (since t-shirts are a buck at the local goodwill’s and this way I can try making a couple out of shirts I don’t care about first as well.)

Budget vs Luxury
Loving…
Hilary Duff’s Poncho that she has on here:
http://fabsugar.com/810548
… yes I said I love a poncho. I usually hate ponchos as a general rule of thumb but sometimes something stands out from the crowd and actually looks good like this one does. It’s not dressy but it’s still not so frumpy or ugly that you shouldn’t leave the house wearing it. It looks comfortable with just a tiny touch of class.
Another outfit from Polyvore.com
Fun with style
Create outfits from different online stores in one spot: http://www.polyvore.com
Shown here:
- Sunglasses: whitchery.com.au for $59.99
- Bracelet: 80spurple.com for $60
- Dress: forever21.com …. seems to be out of stock
- Bag: macys.com $598 (geez I have expensive tastes)
- Shoes: Stevemadden … again another that I can’t actually find.
So there are some glitches if you actually want to buy that exact outfit (out of stock items) but otherwise it’s really fun. 🙂
Purse Organizers
- I initially wanted one of these:
http://www.purseket.com/
But I saw them in a store about a year ago and although the concept is good, the material was flimsy and fragile feeling … I would probably buy this if the plastic inside were thicker and the fabric covering were a nylon or something more durable and cleanable. These might be more durable than they seem so I would love to hear from someone who has tried one of these. - DIY version of the above:

http://www.pursebriteorganizer.com - Today though I saw this in a catalog:
http://www.purznizer.com/
This seems a little bit better …I like the idea of the zipper top because I no longer buy open top purses after an incident where my purse fell between the wall and restaurant booth seat and EVERYTHING fell out and went all over the place. The only drawback to this at the moment is that my current purse I think is smaller than the “small” version of this.
So has anyone tried any of these? Have another recommendation? I would love to hear from you! 🙂
